Merlin Helicopters Used To Restore Exmoor Walking Route

Two Merlin Helicopters will hover above Exmoor on Wednesday (5th December) when pilots from the Commando Helicopter Force, a unit of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, deposit stones to assist repairs of the Two Moors Way.

They will be working near to Wheal Eliza Iron Ore Mine, outside Simonsbath. Dan Barnett, Exmoor National Park’s Access and Recreation Manager, talks about the project and tells Exmoor Radio why this isolated stretch of the coast-to-coast path requires attention.
